News and Updates

Registration for the 2011 National Veterans Moot Court Competition is now open!  This year’s competition will be held the weekend of October 15 - 16 in Washington, D.C.  The problem will be released Friday, August 26.  Check out the About section of our website for examples of past problems.

Congratulations to all participants in the 2010 competition.  On October 16 - 17, 2010, twelve teams of students from eight different schools argued in the Second Annual National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition.  Erin Isdell and William Hurter of Stetson University College of Law successfully defended their school’s title, defeating The George Washington University in the final arguments.  The problem, focused on equitable tolling, was a timely one:  the Supreme Court heard arguments on the same issue in December.  For more information on the problem, participants, and winners, visit the About section of our website.
